"The Fokker Dr.1"

A Pair of Fokker triplanes, belonging to Jasta 12 on patrol over the eastern sector of the front in 1917. the unit was commanded by Oblt. Blumenbach and stationed at Toulis, France. A better know unit to operate the Fokker Dr.1 was jagdgeschwader I, the socalled "Richthofen Circus" commanded by Manfred van Richthofen. Delivery of the Dr.1 started on the 14th july, 1917 and although it was already being replaced by april 1918 some 320 were bought by the German Air Force.
